The Friends of Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Park operate the Treasure Chest gift store at Nancy Island. We are committed to carrying quality souvenir items and supporting local artists and businesses. The following are just a few of the items that make great gifts or souvenirs.
Jim Harkness of Stayner is a renowned wildlife carver. Jim has been carving for four decades and has produced over 200,000 woodcarvings in basswood and pine in about 800 variations. He was the first carver to mass produce loons for the North American gift market. Jim’s limited production items of wildlife are dated but never numbered. You will find some of Jim’s iconic Canadian wildlife in our store – loons, beaver and snowy owls.
